windows update fail

i have tried updating my computer (vista OS) with the latest updates (for security update). i tried twice (which had me restart, and i did), and both times they failed. why is this? this has happened before.

it just says that it failed. when it was updating the system, it then said that it was rolling back the changes. thats all that it really said.
