More M4400 Questions

What's the deal with the Hdd Module? Does it go where the CDROM is? (I have heard that the Lenovo one for T400/500 works, any pictures?)

Can you swap a back-lit keyboard onto a non back-lit keyboard laptop and then have a back-lit keyboard?

I am thinking of buying one used from the Dell Outlet and I really would like the back-lit kb but most of them on there don't have it.

To answer your question's in order.

1.yes it does work [lenovo] yes it goes where the optical drive is....see pic's

2.Yes you can

3.buy one without and then order from spare part's

Thinkpad doesn't have the dell locking mechanism but is quite a tight fit on the sata connector,you also have to remove the lenovo locking tag from the back of the module which is easy.

Any system that supports the Backlit keyboard as an option will have the power connection for the backlight.

Also, freaking spot-on pictures Gerry. As soon as I can afford myself an M4400 I'll definitely have to score one of those enclosures.
