Acer Ferrari 3000 series (broken display cabel/change cabel)

Hi
I got a friend who got a acer ferrari 3000 series, he claims the display cabel is broken so the display doesn't work but otherwise everything else works.

He wants 58usd for it, reasonable price?

And my second question is, is it easy for a layman like myself to change the display cabel to a new working one?
Does the display cabel from a Acer Travelmate 2310 fit on an Acer Ferrari 3000 series ?Thanks in advance!

Here is a manual but will cost you a couple of bucks

I doubt those parts will be interchangeable,they seldom are

The display cable can probably be accessed by removing the lcd and power bezel.

Try using this as a reference
