Hi, I was wondering if someone can help me to get the correct replacement for the built in card. My model is: MT3422
Will any card work/fit? (really only need the G band)
Thanks for the help

Any MINI-PCI card woud fit.

Your comp comes stock with a Realtek. If getting another brand, make sure that you install the driver first, before installing the card.

thanks for a quick reply. Should I only be looking for Mini PCI or will "Mini PCI-E" work also?
Would something like this work?
Atheros AR5007 802.11g Mini PCI-E Wireless Card AR2425
Thanks,

Nope. Your specs call for Mini-PCI card Totally different architecture.

Hopefully this is the last stupid question/opinion.
Should I stick with the same brand (RTL8185L - I don't want to be another bad device) or try something like this: MSI MS-6855B 802.11g 54MPS Wireless Mini PCI Card

No question/opinion is stupid.

The full specs (and drivers) of that card here:

I am uncertain about the combined BT though.

The Realtek is the direct replacement card for your laptop. I would recommend sticking with it because there may be some compatibility issues with other brand chipsets like Intel but technically any minipci card will do (not the minipci express).
