I just sold my alienware m9700 to my girlfriend and was split up between either building a desktop which was a quad core amd cpu with an nvidia 260 core 216 gpu or the g50vt-x5..I chose the latpop and so far it runs great. The only dissapointment is crysis ...Cant be too excite for that though it runs it at high at native resolution dx10 at 18-23 frames or so. The screen is pretty horrid also but maybe thats because I just switched over from a 1920x1200 17 inch screen.

Anyone else really game with this laptop yet?
My 3dmark06 score was over 9500..I overclocked the 9800m gs to gts speeds...

a 3dmark score around 10K is a pretty good gaming machine. Anything higher than 10K and that's icing on the cake. You probably won't be able to get 60fps on MAX settings, but you can fiddle with the settings to get it pretty close.

So far I have played, Fallout 3 ( which is running very smooth on high settings ), Dawn of War 2, I have maxed out it runs smooth also. Crysis is a dissapointment period! way to dependant on hardware. When you need $1,000.00 + on a game thats what 3 years old now to play?? I also for the first time played doom 3 on ultra settings, it eats it up
