Xps m1730 infrared, help needed

Hi
cant c my infrared any where,, device manger and bios,, as far as i now there is 1 in the xps m1730, so how can i make it work.. i searched dell website for drivers and couldnt find anything

I do not own a M1730 but as far as I know, the infrared is only for the remote control: http://ph.hardwarezone.com/img/data/...730-remote.jpg

Hey there,

Yup, the IR is just 1-way (i.e incoming for the remote control). It is normal for it not to be displayed in control panel (Confirmed this with dell a while back when i had the same concerns as you).
