formatting laptop?

hey guys, newbie from australia here! (not sure if this is an aus based forum)
anywayjsut wondering about formatting my laptop... is there a special type of vista i need? can i use the normal vista?

hows it work..
reason i need to format is because id liek to sell my laptop which is an ASUS M70SA... for those who know this laptop know its a ****ing beast! but i dont use it to tis full capacity! and i need to suppot my project car im building! cheers guys

You can use whichever version of Vista your little heart desires.

though what i realised i should have asked with it is, what about my drivers? i didnt get a cd with the drivers when i bought this thing.. well i dont think... previously i have whe ive built desktops, this is my first laptop so yea

You can download drivers from Asus before you format. If you have all the disks and documentation that came with drivers should be in there.

Also if your format question relates to security say of a personal nature. I would recommend you get a free utility that overwrites entire HDD at least once.

in some cases when your re-installing windows you can select the full format option that should do the trick as far as clear personal data ... i guess if someone REALLY knew wha they were doing could still get something
