I use an Asus G1 with Vista x64 bit. Recently, large portions of dialogue in both movies played from DVDs and games have become inaudible. In the case of most DVDs played using WMP or WMC, a large portion of the movie's dialogue will be missing while sound effects and music remain for the most part intact. A similar problem occurs in certain games, notably Fallout 3, in which no NPC dialogue can be heard when engaged in conversation. This problem started recently, and all of my sound card drivers seem to be up to date. Truly beffudling.
