I have an eMachines M6811, Arima W730-K8 DTR based notebook. I am currently using BIOS 0F08.P02E with no problems. I recently purchased a WD 320GB HD and was hoping to Dual boot XP Pro and Vista 64bit. The problem is that the BIOS does not support 48-bit LBA.I did see something in the BIOS about enabling 32-bit access, but that is not going to help me. I can install WD DDO and install XP with no problems, but can't get Vista to install. This is because Vista messes up the MBR that the DDO is using. Is there a BIOS out there that enables 48-bit LBA or is there another way to get this working on my M6811?
