Dell XPS blank screen on startup but computer running ?? yet works in safe mode ??

Basically, turned off my computer yesterday, and I turned it back on today, and it opens the dell loading screen, then the vista loading screen, then the screen goes blank, but the light is on but nothing appears on screen,

I also can hear the vista opening music from when the sign in page opens........
Also the computer is also running after hearing the vista login music
also when I boot in safe mode it works perfectly with no problems ??


any suggestion ? thanks guy

p.s. i have tried reinstalling graphic drivers

can you try an external monitor ?

sorry I cant any other options ?

I dont think I have the cables to connect it to my dads you see

It's not working perfectly in safemode. It is most likely working in VGA graphics mode. It sounds to me like you have got the same problem that a lot of us have had. I changed my graphics card this week and am up and running again.
