NP5793 upgrades

Thread Starter
I would like to upgrade the disk on my Sager NP5793.
Does anyone know if I can install an SSD instead of my regular sata drive? I can't find an official spec sheet anywhere.

Does this laptop support multiple drives?

I would like to upgrade other hardware also. Where I can I buy official parts? Like RAM, etc..

Edit: I just used Crucial's memory upgrade helper which indicated that the 4GB (2x2) that I currently have installed is the max??!?!
I've got a 64bit OS, can there really be a 4GB limit?

Thanks!

Both the 80gb as well as the 160gb solid state drives are available and compatible with the NP5793. The SSD drive would be in place of the standard SATA drive as the 5793 does not support multiple drives. The NP9262 series supports multiple drives. Regarding your memory, if you have a 64 Bit OS like Vista, it should recognize up to 6.8gb of RAM. XP Pro would only recognize 2.8gb. Hope this helps. You can buy other official parts like RAM from any Sager reseller or Sager.
