New W500, better price to go to 8 gigs?

So today we ordered a brand new Thinkpad W500 for work.... it's so weak that it only comes with 2 gigs of RAM with Vista on there (yick, that combo is asking for trouble)

So I was thinking of going to 8 gigs and install Vista x64.. but damn, pricing out 4 gig stick of memory is almost $500 on crucial and still $350 on memory-up.com

Anyone have recommendations on other locations to go to 2 x 4 GB sticks?

I'm guessing thats DDR3?

4GB memory modules are still pretty expensive. I'd suggest going to 4GB total (2x2GB) and waiting a year or two for prices to come down on 4GB modules. That way you'll save a few hundred dollars.
