Dell Certified Refurbished Laptop???

Hi!
Anybody got experience with a Dell certified Refurbished?

Should I stay away from those?

Is it to risky to have problems down the road, say within one year
of purchase?

Or are they as good as new?

I want a XPS Studio 16 and to my surprise there are a lot of refurbished ones on e-bay and that model hasn't been out that long. So why is that?

Any know bad problems with them?

As long as its dell certified refurb then your fine. refurb dont mean it was beat up or didnt work. all that means is either a customer borught it then canceled there order. or had it delivered used it under 30 days and sent it back to dell or it was going to be a test system. refurb is good but make sure it has a xps dell warranty only. dells warraty is by far the best ive seen so far.

Same here. I have 3 at the moment. Many more before that. No problems with any of them.

agreed. just get a warranty. dell also offers warrantys for refurb if it dont come with one. thats the good thing about dell.

I have them on all. I have never had to use them though.

ive owned a refurb that replaced the new dell i bought and the refurb was actually better than the new one.

I needed a laptop for reading emails and using word at uni and thought getting a refurbished laptop would be my cheapest option. Finally bought a refurbished laptop from "ElectroComputerWarehouse" and the product id is "dell_latitude_d610_1.86_60GB".
