Ok need some opinions on this pair of latpops:
1. Asus G50VT-X5
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....ustomerreviews
2. FORCE 3310 (build on Compal JHL 90) (standart config)http://www.xoticpc.com/force-3310-bu...90-p-2455.html

Did some research into this issue and so far what i got is this:

Asus - almost +50% upgrade to GPU, faster CPU, overall better rig stats, BUT with shitty build quality and 6 cell battery. People are saying that it has some major quality issues, add to this only 1 year Garranty unlike standard Asus like(rest you need to pruchase from GeekSquad at BestBuy)
Also dont understand what are the real Processor speed on this one BestBuy link shows only 2.13GHz but in CNET review http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/asus...tag=mncol;rnav
i can see the much more powerfull P8700 / 2.53 GHz

Force(or JHL90)standart config - Lower GPU perfomance, 9600M GT(on Force) vs 9800M GS( on Asus), and slower processor aswell T6400 2.0GHz(standard on Force) vs 2.13GHz(Asus). BUT 3 year warranty (Free), and 9cell battery.

So overall i can say that even though both laptops are having almost the same price 890ish(asus) vs 870(FORCE). Asus is much more powerfull but not reliable and with only 1 year warranty. While FORCE is slower in all stats but more reliable, better quality and Free 3 year warranty.

Now I need your help in analyzing this 2 laptops. Especially would like to hear the opinions of owners(any of them). What would you choose and why? My primary purpose is to figure out if the more powerfull machine with low customer reviews and crappy warranty is a smarter choice than slower laptop that has with overall better reviews and better warranty.

Thank you.

P.S. Also please do not reply in the "ASUS FTW", or "I HAVE JHL90 and it ROCKS" forms. I need some constructive opinions.

I would say buy the force as I would want Justin at Xotic to make a living.

But your Asus comments are too much. You might be eligible for a two year warranty with 1 year accidental damage? Asus build is fine. It is a kick ass system. The Force is also good. You pick. Be a man make a choice don't bash Asus?

Any way good luck both rock (pick the Xotic).

Lol, poor Justin)
What i said about Asus i got from reviews of people that purchased it. About Asus warranty, if it was "two year warranty with 1 year accidental damage" as Asus usually gives on its products it would be great, but if you buy at BestBuy you are not eligible for this warranty, only standart 1-year apllies(guess they want people to purchase their GeekSquad warranty)

The change in warranty is one of Best Buy's conditions for companies selling their units there.

yup, lots of places. There's a list in our Asus section as well as on Asus' website. One of my personal favorites is GenTechPC.com
