I kinda would like to know how much I could get for my system. It's a Gateway P-7811fx I purchased new from Best Buy that I have upgraded in a few ways:


Gateway P-7811fx

17" screen @ 1920x1200

CPU upgraded to a P9500 from stock P8400 (with Arctic Silver 5 applied)

Two (2) 320GB Seagate Momentus 7200.3 hard drives (upgraded from a single 200GB 7200.2)

Wireless upgraded to an Intel 5300 from 5100 (with 3rd antenna added)

4GB 1066MHz DDR3 RAM (stock)

9800M GTS 512mb (overclocks well)

8x Dual-Layer DVD+/-RW w/LabelFlash (stock)

Latest BIOS installed

How much could I get for this laptop? It's in great condition, and I frequently clean it with Honda Spray Polish (a spray cleaner/waxer used on motorcycles too -- it works VERY well and protects it, too).

your upgrades probably offset the depreciation, so I'd say it's worth around $1000

Tough to get more than that, with other FX now out for around 1.200$

Hmmm. OK, thanks guys!

I was looking on eBay, and oddly USED STOCK ones are going for $900-$1,200!

I figured I could get maybe $1,200 since there's like ~$600 of upgrades I put into it (the P9500 was like $330 when I bought it, and now you can get a T9800 for that much! -- yeesh...).
