If you have issues with the benchmark submission, just post them here and we can work it out together.

I think I am going to try and "tweak" my drivers first to improve my scores before I submit them officially.

My 2 cents on "tweaking".

Current gaming models are powerful enough not to be resorted to tweaking. Try clean out your startup processes and services and disable un-needed apps first.

Use your comp for a few weeks first and see as Vista does take time to learn the way you use your comp.

cheers ...

OK, ty, it's this type of common sense advice that a noob like me needs and appreciates.

Just be aware that the Intel "Volume initialization process" for the Raid 5 configuration takes awhile to run. On my laptop it took like six hours to complete. I do not know if that is normal or not, as this is my first raid configuration.

Also, my first MS defrag after updating Vista and installing programs, etc... took awhile too, like two+ hours to complete. btw, my ddtr went from 5.6 to 5.7 after defragging.

Sweet set-up. I agree the GTX 280M is the same Nvidia Architecture from the 8800 series and this new version isn't that impressive.

This thread has been quiet. How are all of the 9280 owners feeling about their purchase? Does Nehalem wallop its predecessors? How's the 280M treating everyone? Is gaming with this a whole new experience? Inquiring minds want to know!

I'm assuming you've all been sucked into a virtual reality created by your 9280s and aren't able to post. I wonder if you even know you're no longer living in the "real" universe...

Just got one about a week ago love it minus the 1 stuck pixel oh well. I haven't done to much tweaking yet just overclock and overvolt the gtx280m.

Attached is a screeny of my 3dmark06 score haven't had time to push the card to the max yet. This is stable and temps hit 84C running furmark burn in test for 3+ hours.

It says i7 975 extreme processor and I only have the i7 920 fyi but you can tell that by the cpu speed only showing at 2667 MHz and it show it being a GTX180M.

Nice. Would you take some extra time and submit this (and others) benchmark here?

http://www.notebookforums.com/my-benchmarks.html

This would help us keeping tab of all systems in one place for all forum members.

cheers ...

Well i have been running my np9280 for about 2 months now and loving every minute of it. i also had a stuck pixel, but i tapped it a few times(very scarry for a brand new computer) and that fixed it right up. 3dmark05 score is in the 21,000
