Everything seems to be working perfectly so far

I don't have a card reader for my SD card so Ill have to fire up the laptop later.

My VREG seems to run warm, though it seems to be a common problem with the boards.
Its idling at 59-60°C so Ill have to put a fan on it when my other fans come in.

But overall running great and its fast

Awesome, looking forward to some benchmarks.

Nice! Looking forward to more pics.

My Vreg idles in the 50s, even with water cooling. It doesn't go much past low 60s at 100% on water, while it would shoot to 80+ on air. A fan will make a big diff, but don't sweat it if it doesn't go a lot lower on idle (I had mine in the 40s when I set the exhaust fan to blow directly onto it - in an open case).

I played Crysis for about an hour and I think the Vreg only got up to 60 or so.

Brought my 1710 back to life the other day

Swapped the 7950 heatsink onto my 7800 gtx
Now my laptop is actually usable

it's great that it worked out, and I think the 78xx series cards were less prone to crapping out like the 79xx series
