Hello everyone I have a toshiba satellite a105 s2071. When trun on the LCD stays blank could it be the inverter or the backlight?

Plug in an external monitor, if it works, then it is likely that the inverter goes bad. But if you can see something when pointing a flash light to the screen, then the back lights are gone.

cheers ...

You meant it was not working with an external monitor? Did you try the FN keys to toggle between notebook LCD and external monitor?

Did the external pick up any output signals from your VGA port? This is important.

Well I hook it up to my dell laptop to make sure it was working and it was.. So i guess something up with the Toshiba?

If the external cannot detect incoming signals, it is likely that your internal gpu card is bad = motherboard.
