vista recovery on satellite pro L300 19Q

can someone tell me how to get my vista business back to the original state. I need a fresh start. Is there an idiots guide to making a vista recovery disc? The one I got only gets me back to XP.

Did your machine ship with Vista business? Did you do a clean install of XP and remove Vista since you got it???
Or are you saying the only instructions you can find are for making an XP recovery disk?
There should be instructions in your user manual

it shipped with vista business, but only has a recovery disc for XP. I haven't done any reinstalls.

Try this
press the F10 key when you first turn on your computer. Tap F10 repeatedly until you see 'Starting System Recovery'

windows vista has options for that in the accessories

I beleive that is only for previous restore points and not a total restore back to factory
