Alienware, Not the company I thought they were? - Page 2

While we're on the subject of cars...I can't speak about Porsche's but I can tell you about my experience with BMW. Admittedly my 330 isn't particularly a high end car, however, you better believe that thte service I've had at my BMW dealership has been about ten times as good as when I had a VW Jetta. Two out of warranty issue's dealt with, no problems. It's why I am considering another one when my lease is up.

Regardless, we obviously have different opinions. That's fine bye me. Oh and that "son" comment was cute.

Funny you say that Craig, because in my replies, that was one of the first things I had written, but I decided to delete it.

Lol. Well they have handed out credit to people who tried to take advantage of typos. Many times I might add. In those instances, they didn't lose any future customers. That's beside the point, you guys understand what I'm trying to convey. If you want to pick at semantics and specifics, knock yourselves out.

Yeah I do understand your point, and while I understand it, I dont necessarily support it. But either way ...

Cheers to you too. :P. Just realized, it's 5:30 in the morning, I have had no sleep, I spent last hour surfing web, and I have a meeting at 8:30. Go me!

Its the companies obligation to make the consumer happy, no matter what the contract says, that is why I try to sheer away from big vendors, all they do is paperpush.

Then by that rule of thumb you should stay away from Sager. They're one of the biggest out there...see?

Sounds like there have been mistakes on both sides. I am surprised though that Alienware isn't springing for it, right or wrong. IMHO, a mousepad and T-shirt are good advertising; a dissatisfied customer is the worst advertisment. How much would it cost them?

What mistake did AW commit? Make a rule that you have to check your stuff within 5 days of its arrival?

Well I was talking about the free T-Shirt you get with what I assumed was any alienware purchase ie its free. and 5$ barely will buy you a happy meal so if your gripeing about 5 bucks after droping 2000-3000 or more on a laptop then maybe you shouldnt have bought the laptop.

I hope everyone sees the lesson to be learned here.
smurf, let us know how this works out but you need to consider Alienware in the fact that Anyone can say these things 2Months after a purchase. OMG my extra keyboard and mouse are missing... that was just an example and the examples can get pretty costly. That is the reason for Alienware giving 5 days to check your things. All of the information is still near the top and an error can be located easily. If someone tries to scam free stuff all it is going to take is Alienware to look into it to see if it is a scam or not. The Alienware Critical Issues Team is really involved and on the ball. I'm not saying yours is a scam but there is a method to the madness at Alienware. Its a pretty tight ship.

I find it a little hard to believe in the first place that somebody would wait 2 months to open the Second Box that they recieved from AlienWare...
