Wondering which video card is better

Thread Starter
I've been looking at laptops to buy for school in fall, and of course I'd love one that runs games, because SC2 is gonna be sick. Anyways, the laptops within my price range, aside from the bulky G50VT, either have a nVidia GeForce 9600M GT, an nVidia GeForce 9650M GT, or the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650.

My confusion comes in the fact that, although the 9650 carries a higher price tag and model name, its 3DMark05 score is significantly lower than that of the 9600M GT. Also, both GPUs are more expensive than the 4650, which destroys the two in 3DMark05.

So I can't figure out which of those three is the best, because it seems like the one that looks to be the worst is the most expensive. Or am I just completely missing something here?

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 is by far the best of those three. You can't always determine the expense of a video card based on the expense of a notebook. There are much more factors, like processor, screen, connections, form factor, and promotions that ATI or Nvidia are giving the manufacturer.

This will keep you up to date on which is the best...But like Djembe said there are alot of other factors too...
