About to pull the trigger on M4400

Hey guys,

I'm about to pull the trigger on an M4400 and was wondering if there was anything I should know before buying it. It'll be used for school work and intense Pro Engineer work. I've heard of problems with the RGB led screen. Is that still happening? Should I wait for the new icore7-like processors? Do you guys see the price coming down a lot in the next few weeks?

I'll come to around $1850

Here's a list of the parts:
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9550 (2.66GHz, 6M L2 Cache, 1066MHz FSB)

15.4" UltraSharp™ WUXGA (1920x1200) RGB-LED TRUELIFE Display

NVIDIA Quadro FX 770M, 512MB

1.0GB, DDR2-800 SDRAM, 2 DIMMS (Gonna upgrade to 4gb from newegg)

80GB Hard Drive, 5400 RPM (gonna upgrade to 320gb from newegg)

9 Cell Battery

Intel® WiFi Link 5300 802.11a/g/n Draft Mini Card

Thanks!

Yes,all a bit late to the party.
Ya the M4400 will smoke anything in pro-E you will be doing at school, unless your moonlighting for Toyota or something and have massive dataset's.

Dell have jacked up the price of the M4400 in NZ nearly 1k since I bought mine.

This will be my last dell,I'm sick of being bent over by dell,US customer's now pay half of what I pay after currency conversion...HP and Lenovo are far cheaper now for me,and as a rule have far better global parity with pricing.
