I recently bought an MX6959 from a friend of mine and after checking it out with CPU-Z I noticed that it had 1g of 333mhz ram and 512mb of 266mhz ram. All of the specs that I had read about this computer indicated that the maximum supported memory speed for this computer should be DDR2 533mhz so I went out and bought 1g of PC4200 ram to check it out and potentially grab another gig later. After installing it (single channel and by itself) CPU-Z reads only 266mhz. I can't find any options to change this in the BIOS (just flashed it to most recent version) and I'm not sure what else I could do to remedy this or if I'm just overlooking something. Thanks in advance.

Actually, here is what crucial says about that model:
Each memory slot can hold DDR2 PC2-5300 with a maximum of 2GB per slot.*
and;
Your system does not support ECC. Because ECC and non-ECC modules should not be mixed within a system, install the same type of modules that are already in your system.
(check and make sure yours are non-ECC
