I should add that although I use IE6 almost exclusively, I also use Netscape Navigator sometimes for My Uni's online notes database, makes access of word and excel files easier.

You really should have added OPERA to that list....

I use Opera (bought version w/o the ads) occasionally, but FireFox is my mainstay.

Mozilla is bloated similar to IE (but it is more than just a browser, unlike IE). Firefox was designed to fill the void for folks who wanted separate apps for e-mail/news and web browser.

It's great, and if something doesn't render or look right in it, then I often leave and go elsewhere. But few places I visit are IE-only.

Firefox is completely awesome. I can't live without tabbed browsing, and being able to middle-click on links to open them in a new tab is simply amazing. I'd use Mozilla, but I prefer Outlook 2003 to Thunderbird as far as email. Occasionally I'll have to switch to IE, but the benefits definitely outweigh the tradeoffs.

Tabbed browsing?? Im using IE6 and it works fine. I also use the new Google bar to block all pop-ups. For spyware I use Adaware..it keeps me clean

In tabbed browsing, you have a single browser window, and instead of opening new windows all the time, you simply open new tabs. It creates a tab at the top of the window instead of a new window.

After using Foxfire for a day now, the only question I have is why the "almighty" microsoft hasn't put tabs into IE. It's soooo amaingly nice!
