Not sure if what I'm doing is correct but here it is:

Try to use the official NBF submission of a benchmark.

Looking forward to see yours in the system soon

Hi qhn,

Not really sure what I did wrong but I actually used the "add new benchmark" button and filled-up the drop down lists and attached the 2 screenshots into the text window so I'm not sure what I have to do at this point.

The link you provided is where it previously took me. Is there a format I should follow? Sorry as I'm doing this for the first time and I'm not really familiar with the steps yet... Thanks.

Whooops.... I just checked again and it seems my entries got lost? Hmmm.... I just entered a new set again. Hope these are saved this time.

Done. I guess I did not follow instructions carefully, mistake.

You can still put your benchmarks into the database by going to the first post in this thread, go to edit or advanced edit, and click on manage benchmarks. There you can input the specs of your system and add your benchmarks.

Thanks

Hi Steve,

I already did that so hopefully the entries are in already.... fingers crossed.

I don't think you hit save because I can't see the system under your user account.

To test this, look at the links under the USER LINKS on the right, and click on My Reviews/Benchmarks. If nothing is listed, you didn't hit save.

Argh! Hahaha.... it's my 2nd try already and still no go...

I gave it another try... hope this one goes through now. I feel like an idiot not being able to do this properly... Thanks for your help Steve.

Don't worry about it. It's a new system and we may be able to make it more user friendly.

Okay, you entered your system properly I can now see it. But you now need to enter your benchmarks. To do this, go back to the first post on this thread again, edit, advanced edit, click on manage benchmarks. You should be able to see your system there and you can add a benchmark from there. You can also access this through the My Reviews/Benchmarks link on the right again.

See here, all your info is added, you just need to submit a benchmark.

Go to the thread I linked above and go to edit, advanced edit, manage benchmarks. You'll see an option to add your benchmark.

Took me a while to get into it with so many windows but I think I got it!

Geee.... my scores look pitiful...

Am not surprised, with a 2 year old laptop... I guess this is to be expected.

Hey hey! Many thanks for the guidance!
Now, we are "demanding" more of your other benchmarks

It is not so much about pitiful scores, but the sharing for others to watch out and coming back with inputs as how to improve them.

Great stuffs!

cheers ...

Hahaha... other benchmarks, I assume you mean benchmarks of other laptops?

Can benchmarks be improved without hardware changes? I'd be willing to do stuff to my computer (except tinker with its hardware) to improve the performance...
No, different benchmarks on the same comp. And sometimes one can improve the scores without reverting to upgrade/change hardware. I am still learning about tweaking the system configuration and softwares.

cheers ...

Great! That gives me hope then...

I've gotten rid of all possible and useless bloatware... I wonder if that affects it though....
