Budget: $1600
What I found:
Sager NP8662 configured to $1587.89-
*Intel P9600 Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz (25W)
*GTX260M 1,024MB
*4GB RAM
*320GB 7200RPM (16MB Cache; I have a 1.5TB External HDD, so idc for internal HDD size; chose this one as its 7,200RPM and 16MB Cache)
Requirements:
<=15.4" (Preferably 15.4"), decent graphics card (preferably not a workstation card), decent Dual Core processor (preferably the "P" series (if Intel) for the 25W efficiency), at least 4GB RAM.
Can anyone recommend me a laptop that's equivalent or better then that with my budget?
Thanks a bunch!
P.S. Rumor has it that the P9600 will be replaced with the P9700 (also with the release of the T9900) very soon. Will it be beneficial to wait a month (can afford to wait 1 more month) to get the P9700 instead of the P9600 (a .14GHz difference)?
P.P.S. Why is it that the NP8662 not have the option of the GTX280M (both draw 75W), or the option of the QX9300 (seeing how the Q9000 (which is available) also has a 45W TDP and same voltage rating)?
