Lifebook E2010 Harddrive upgrade

Hi. I recently purchased a E2010. I want to buy bigger harddrive for it. I have located where the harddrive is, but im not sure how to remove it. There is one screw that holds the cover, or what i should call it, but the HD wont come out. I dont wanna use force obviously, incase i have missed a screw or something else that needs to be removed. Anybody have an idea how to do this? Fujitsu doesnt provide service manual on their website, only user manual, and it doesnt describe HD replacement, only RAM upgrade.

Thanks

You can try, after removing the screw that holds the hard disk drive bay, push it in, and then pull it out.

Hey LJGibbs!

I once had the same problem like you have now.

And the solution is much simpler than you might think...

You just have to open the Notebook/lift the cover and then you can pull out the harddrive without any problems.

When I tried to change my harddrive some while ago (because the one built in was broken) I needed hours to find that out!
But I never had the idea to just lift the screen..

...Hope I helped you..

[Edit:]
I have another Question to everyone reading this thread:
Fujitsu says that this Notebook accepts max 1GB of RAM. (2x 512MB)
Is it possible to build in more RAM in any way? Can you update the BIOS or something like that, so that it accepts more RAM?
Today RAM is not expensive, so you easily could buy 2x 1GB chips.
Thx for any suggestion.

@qhn:
Thank you for the reply on my question.

Hmm, I'll see. perhaps I sell this one and my stationary PC and buy a new laptop of that money...
The notebook is a lil bit slow in todays times in my opinion...

But thx again.
