Acer Timeline 3810T - full HD .mkv videos possible?

Is the Acer Timeline 3810T with 1,4 ghz core2solo cpu, Vista home, capable of playing full hd 1080p .mkv movies without breaks?

I'm searching for hours but didn't find anything about that.

My plan is it, to connect this notebook to a fulll hd LCD over HDMI and to play all my .mkv videos on it.

Is this possible, using the right player (vlc or media player classic etc.) which supports the 4500MHD graphic-chip of course... ??

And if the core2solo is to weak, will a core2duo the solution?
Please let me know....

try zoomplayer, but i think that you just don't have enough cpu.

I don't have this notebook yet, i'm searching for a new SUB (!!!)-notebook that can play full hd, and the acer timeline seems to be the perfect subnotebook to me...

My buy-consideration is dependable on the fact if it can play that 1080p movies...

would the core2-DUO cpu be strong enough perhaps?

sorry for my bad english, i'm german

most likely. You may want to look into the Acer Aspire One 571h. It is soon to be released and has an hd decoder card that will allow full hd 1080p to be played

I did just order one of these cards for my notebook, I will post a review for it this by this weekend, as long as it shows up in the mail.
