Just for information, the SP2 for Vista is starting to come out in MS updates.
I have ran it for about a week and no issues todate other than the visual volume indicator (green bar) is no longer there when adjusting volume.
P.S. Its also about a 500MB download.

been running it for about a week. I recommend it, the battery life did increase by about 20-30 minutes

The only thing I should mention about the install is, that ever since XP SP1, I have become a believer in ensuring that I have done a disk clean then defrag and also checking to make sure I was virus and spyware free prior to the install.
Lessens the chance of a dirty install and with something that big (500+MBs), I didnt want to putz around

Did you notice any disk space gains on your system?

Cant say as I recall what the numbers were just prior to the install ie used vs unused so cant be sure. But having checked the numbers now, I thought that my used space number was higher than what it is now (47GB used and 97GB free) on my C drive, but cant really be certain. Nothing on D at present but recovery. The link you had was an interesting thread.
Would be nice if they trimmed it down by removing all extraneous material (would be a first...lol)
