Oh boy, I'm in for a world of hurt.

I installed Windows 7 64 bit RC1 on my m9700 and I am missing so many drivers it not even funny. I will update this thread more with how I came across fixing any issues.

So far, I don't have the correct driver for syncing my HTC Touch, the correct Video drivers, Sound drivers or Wireless card drivers. I'm sure theres more...

I will keep in touch.

It didn't go well at all.

I got to the login screen and the computer freezes, I can get into safe mode and mess around though.

I gave up after not doing really anything, I installed XP Pro back on because my gf wanted to watch some movies last night.

I'll try it again in a few days.

You needed the cpu drivers? Xp and w7 should work the same as far as performance on an m9700, I had one also 3 months back.

Dude this is off topic but is your lcd hinge loose? My gf has my m9700 now and The hinge is ridiculously loose I feel so bad.

No, it's actually very tight still.

I tried the Windows 7 thing again and it did the exact same thing...Still working on fixing it.

I installed windows 7 on both a 9750 and a m15x and had them working great. Try using the vista drivers. most of them shoulld work if not all. On both of my system they all worked with windows 7.

The standard Vista drivers won't work as he installed the 64 bit version of Win7. I too have 64 bit installed. No luck

Agree here. W7 RC fails miserably with the 64 Bits version on my Gateway as well.

cheers ...

I have M9750, with windows 7 RTM x32 only because my bisom cam and my avermedia tv tuner don't work with the x64. Anyone know where I can get the x64 drivers? Greatly appreciated.
