SPDIF digital audio on Clevo D900C/Sager NP9260

Thread Starter
I have a Clevo D900C/Sager NP9260 and I can't get the SPDIF audio output to work. I am currently running Vista Ultimate 32bit. On my home computer I have windows xp and all I had to do was go into the audio settings and switch it to SPDIF but for some reason I can't do it in Vista, so I'm wondering if the jack on the laptop doesn't work or am I doing something wrong? I know the optical cable works because it's the same cable I use for my home computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are we talking about no audio output, or simply not the expected 5.1?

cheers ...

Hi Bob,

The NP9260 won’t support “Optical cable”, coaxial only. Hope this helps.
