Sony Vaio VGN-FZ140E Network Adapter

Thread Starter
I've had my Vaio for about 2 years now, and about a month ago, it started doing something new. Whenever I start up the computer, the network adapter resets itself. This happens if I wake the computer from sleep, hibernation, or a total shutdown. But, simply logging off and right back on doesn't trigger anything.

It's generally more annoying than problematic, although it sometimes stays switched off and I have to reboot the computer to get it back. Flipping the physical switch on the outside of the laptop does nothing.

So, I suppose my question is: is this a problem? Is it something that all Vaio owners experience? If it's a problem, is there a way to fix it?

Thanks.

A possibility is that the card is failing. Replacing it is the option and this does happen to any brands/models at anytime.

You can try to uninstall and reinstall the device within devices manager. Also see if you have any updates for the card as well.

cheers ...
