3790 hard drive question

Well, my faithful lappy finally crapped out on me. It would be 5 years old in Oct '09. Still worked perfectly until last month. Took it to a local repair shop. They found the hard drive was the issue. It was a 60 gig 7200 rpm. The shop is going to install a new Seagate 120 gig 7200. Is this HD going to be Okay? That size HD was not available back in '04.

Thanks. I get nervous when other people touch my Sager. This is the first time ever that it's been out of my control. I do trust Seagate for performance.

We agree...Seagate is excellent and there should be no problems.

Thanks

Thanks PCTorque for your response. I hope to be getting my baby back tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed. I love my sager even if it is old.

Hi Seadragon and PCTorque folks in general,
I used to hang out here especially the first 2 years getting the laptop and then using it alot at first. Now not so much but am thinking about doing some upgrades and I see the 3xxx forum still gets answered.

Very nice, thank you!! In fact, I might be in for a hard drive change as well. I would also be interested in a CPU upgrade to what ever my the 3790 can handle? My CPU id says itz a 2gig cpu now. But pehaps this is best for another thread...

Hi Derepente,

Unfortunately, PC Torque and Sager do not carry the components any longer for the 3790 model. Your best bet is to try Newegg or Ebay. Wish we could help more.
