Dell 9300: X300 or LCD? Stripes on screen.

Hello, our Dell 9300 has these stripes since 6 month. I guess it is the Ram on the X300 but i although have read this could be an issue of the LCD.
Who has experiences and can tell me?

Hope you can recognize it on the pics.
Btw, i mean the vertical thin coloured stripes on the right side of screen. Others are reflexions from cam.

Yep. Looking like that the LCD is failing.

Check the cable that connects LCD and video card. That was a problem on my Dell I9300 - same darn stipes on the screen.

I disambled every piece of the 9300 today, cables are all ok. Stripes are still there.

Well the only thing that can be failing is LCD then, IMO. Unless you want to disassemble it again and make sure that video card is attached firmly on motherboard (ATI X300 is not on-board chip as far as I know). If it is the case, then your LCD needs to be changed.

X300 is a "video-card", not an on-board-chip. I disambled the gpu and cpu as well, new Arctic 5 and so on. Everything is ok but the LCD.

Ok, it is not that bothering. We use the notebook only for i-net and mails.
A new LCD costs ca. 200 EUR. It isn't worth.

Go for some 2nd hand or refurbished screen that go for 1/2 as the new one.
