M50VM left mouse button

Thread Starter
My left mouse click button came off and seems to be broken. Does anyone know where I can just get the button as the mouse left click still works but the button cover is what is broken. I emailed Asus as it is still under warranty and the just want to RMA the laptop & send the laptop to them, but being it has all my work on the laptop for my job and programs needed. I cannot do without it for a week. I can move everything to another laptop if it is a must, but that is a lot of work if not needed.

I would just like to get replacement button if I can but don't know where to get it or if I have to purchase more of the touchpad.

Any advice would be appreciated.

My personal take is that you should accept Asus offer to repair the notebook under warranty.

Use an external mouse in between until you have some spare time to send the notebook in.

cheers ...

I agree. Replacing the touchpad buttons typically involves replacing the whole touchpad, since the buttons aren't sold separately (and it's not the easiest procedure). If at all possible, I'd let Asus handle it.
