Upgrades to LED screens can be done if your laptop already supports it.

I did one on my M6400 no problem at all.

The watch out, is to do your home owrk and verify everythuing you need is included for the swapp, and what I am not sure about with regards to the link you have is the Vendor seems to be mixing LCD and LED items on that lisiting.

As far as I know you do not need an Inverter for a LED screen ,yet he mentions one is included.

So a little more hoomework maybe required to verify what exactly you need.

When I did my swap I needed a new video cable harness which elimintaed the inverter requirment for my laptop, and provided the needed signals and power for the LED display.

The E1505 cannot drive an LED backlit screen. It is intended for CCFL lit LCDs only. The only time you can upgrade is, as Dave-P already stated, if your system had LED backlight optional.
