Well i've been researched to play consoles games using laptop to view the screen, some of you might ask why not get a TV instead, but is actually is for someone homeless like me.. haha.. ha...

So far by adding a Leadtek ExpressCard WinFast ExDTV2300 H can simply solve that issue. However PS3 said requiring HDMI, and my laptop have a HDMI port, that i'm figuring how do i know if the HDMI port on laptop is output or input?

laptop HDMI ports are output-only. They're hooked up to the video card, not the display.
