i was having some lines and a flickering on my screen not sure it its the back light or video card does anyone have an extra video card laying around?

The problem could be a few things including the GPU.

Do you see this on booot up or just while in Windows.

Try in safe mode.

Check cable connections for the Video card to the LCD display.

try a fresh install of the OS.

If your seeing data corruption then run diganostics as well.

What are your CPU and GPU temps ?

thanks for the tips
i tried a friends video card out of his laptop and it worked fine so if anyone has a video card laying around id take it off your hands thanks everyone

You can check the for Sale section here, also there was one member here who was willing to buy bad cards in the for sale section

vertical lines are a clear sign that video card is dying
