Alienware M17x GPU question.

Well before I order one of these babies. I wanted to ask if....

The Dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M, 2GB – SLI is worth it?

Or should I just go for the Dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M, 2GB – SLI

Not sure what the performance difference will be.

Can you wait a week? Alienware sucks and costs a lot of money. Clevo makes the best performance notebooks. Unless you are in a hurry a lot you could learn?

I agree with Powerpack...

wait for the new Sager(i hear it's the NP9850) to come out...It's just around the corner..

The Alienware might be prettier but, it's what's inside that counts....Beauty is only skin deep.

I'm sure the Sager will have better cooling..

Performance wise: should be close, Unless of course the New Sager supports i7 then no doubt it will be King..But, who knows?

Whatever you decide, i hope you enjoy...

10 to 15 percent performance difference max. You may be able to overclock 260 to get 280 performance difference.

I've decided to pre-order get the Sager NP9850 with no spec. changes, but added an OS.

Well total came to $2,715 (shipping included) + Graphic art for the top cover + Win Vista 64bit.

There was no tax though? Will that get added later on?

As long as you don't live in the city/State from which you bought it then you don't get taxed.
