Sigmatel Stereo Mix T6836 With Vista

Hi, I've been searching everywhere but noticed the people here are really into helping figure things like this out

I have a Gateway T-6836 and according to gateway the up to date driver version for Vista 64bit is 6.10.5580.0

I know people discussed modified the .inf files, but I don't understand how to make it work. I've tried and failed.

Does anyone know of a driver for Vista that will have the StereoMix feature or has modified theirs and can tell me how or even pass along a copy of their modified driver?

This is the accurate driver according to Gateway (that doesn't have the stereo mix)

D20184-006-001.exe - Sigmatel Vista 32/64-bit audio driver
Supports: Windows Vista (64-bit), Windows Vista (32-bit)
Note: v. 6.10.5580.0

PLEASEEEEEE HELP!

My main reason for wanting this is to stream stuff via ustream/mogulos/justin.tv, etc....not to record mp3's or any sort of piracy. When streaming thou it always picks up my mic instead of the sound on my game.

i've tried that, but I kept getting errors. =\

I'm assuming because the drivers listed there are for a different soundcard...and when I tried to do that with the ones for mine, I kept getting errors or doing it wrong.

I was hoping someone could edit the files for me if they know what to do and then maybe send me them and see if its been me messing up, or if i'm just out of luck

Would you share the error codes and messages? Vista up to date (SP2 etc ..)?

I'm at work currently, tonight when I get off work I will try the steps again and then I will post a screenshot or something of the error. Any other info you'll need to help just let me know and I'll get it all for you when I get home and to my laptop.

Thanks for taking this time to try and help me out. Sorry I can't post the error right now. I do know one was like "object error" or whatever.

Here is what I get....

ExitError.Error=Device Object not present, restart system and run setup again.

Could someone try modifiying the files for me and sending them? I'm willing to try it myself...but i've failed 4 times.

My model is a Gateway T-6836...and I believe I been using the right drivers to attempt this stuff.
