Hey guys,
Recently I started having problems with my computer when I put it into sleep mode, I'll either close the lid, or manually choose sleep mode and it will enter it. The problem arises when I try to wake my computer back up. It will be unresponsive until I touch the power button which makes it completely shut down. Upon re-booting my computer it gives me the whole *Windows did not shut down properly...*
What I think the problem may be is that I recently replaced my 1g or RAM with 4G of RAM. Could faulty RAM have caused this problem? I have updated all the drivers so that's not the problem. And I'd just like to know if the RAM is the problem before I switch it out again.
My laptop is an Alienware M15x running a 32bit vista. I have a Nvidia Geforce 8600M GT graphics card and 4 gigs of ram.
