Hp Vs. Dell

Hi All. I'm sure these questions come up all the time. I'm buying my first laptop and I'm confused. I'm trying to choose between these two. Please tell me which is best and if they are good for the money The Dell is £550 and the HP £495. Or if I should expect better for the money. I'm not really going to use it for gaming but will do a lot of photo editing.

Cheers

The DeLL link does not show your config. It might show for you but will not for others. What are it's specs?

The HP has an AMD CPU. While they are fine and will last. Clock for clock Core 2's are faster and produce less heat.

I don't have a good idea of prices in the UK so not sure how good or bad. But being from DeLL and HP would guess fair market price.

From what I can tell the differences are

DEll - Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T6400 (2.0 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 2 MB L2 Cache) - 512MB ATI Mobility RADEON HD 4570

HP - AMD Turion™ X2 Dual-Core Mobile Processor RM-75 Level 3 cache 1 MB - 521mb ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530

Maybe this link will work, I haven't changed the spec to that it starts with

I would get the DeLL better GPU and I think the Intel CPU will out perform the AMD. It should run cooler also. And CPU's are easy to upgrade later. Has the PM45 chipset so any of the current C2D's would work.
