Sony Z21MN/B: battery life credible?

Hi there!

I'm looking for a new notebook at the moment, and it might well be the Z21MN/B. The trouble is that I am pretty suspicious about the battery life specifications. I just want to make sure that the 6 hours battery life in stamina mode are not some developer's wet dreams but a fact. Can anybody verify that?

Any manufacturer-given battery life is going to be significantly higher than you'll see in actual use.

^ True. But if any consolations, my SZ71 battery goes 4-5 hrs in stamina mode.

@ qhn: Now that was helpful, thanks! Can you still remember what Sony told you about the battery life of the SZ71? Maybe, by comparing the Sony specifications of the SZ71 to the actual battery life given by you, I can calculate how much fantasy Sony normally put into their figures . So, how long did they say your notebook would last? 6 hours?

According to the "advertised" notebook, Sony mentioned a good 5-6hrs battery usage.

I removed the Smart Battery option, then run under stamina, consistent so far with 4-5hrs, more like 4+ most of the time.
