Aspire 4530 Graphics Upgrade Questions

Hello.

I can't seem to get a straight answer out of Acer regarding upgradability of their systems so here goes...

For the 4530, does anyone know:

* Can the video be upgraded with the addition of a dedicated graphics card?

* Does it have a PCI-e slot of any kind for this?

I looked around and found some disassembly instructions, and even poked briefly inside myself but not seeing anything that specifically resembles anything like my previous Inspiron 9300 had as far as slots go.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I love my system but if I can max out some things aside from the mem and possibly CPU, I'd love to!

I don't believe that you can upgrade or swap out the graphic card in this model. System specs call for the availability of an ExpressCard/54 slot.

I hope one day that onboard video upgrades can be made possible through the express slot somehow, maybe an offload of video like the video card add-ons back in the day.

That would be nice but I doubt it very much. Not cost effective you see and a whole lot of expanding and re-engineering system bus.

Plus the fact that laptop companies wouldnt make any money on these upgrades, they only make money on total replacements
