Google Maps 3.1.0 (G1)

Well for us Googlemaps user on the G1 we have a good update. The new googlemaps is out for cupcake and is a big improvement. You have to go to the market on your phone and download the latest version manualy.

We get:

Walking directions
Public Transport
Faster updates on location with/without GPS
If you use laittude you get "Shout Outs"
Slight interface update

I am sure there other things but this is what I have found so far. The update should already be out or is going to be out shortly for other mobile platforms.

Iphone still does not have support for laittude. But it coming out "soon"

I have had ZERO problems with them. Much better service then ATT. Network and customer.

You also live in a different part of the country than me. I don't know how T-mobile is in my area.

I don't even know what unlocked means in cell phones. I'm a cell phone nubb.

T-Mobile has come a long way for North America market Steve. Our G1 works flawlessly and now we have moved to T-Mobile as land line carrier and internet ISP.

On top, I use them in Europe ;-) so it works out great!

Agreed with Darq, unlocked phones are great, but USA always has a way to be different with some crazy signal standard that is a bit off with the rest of the world, so get a quad band if one wants to go the international way.

Been about 6 months since I got my G1. I'm still loving it and it's functionality.

Only problem is that IT IS bulky and not so pretty. But that's what you get for wanting a built in keyboard
