Can I swap internal wireless cards?

Hello,

I have an HP Pavilion dv6040 that has been experiencing major issues with connecting to my home wireless network. I have another computer, an HP dv6700, that has no problems connecting to the network. The dv6700 is simply a later model of the dv6040, and the wireless card in the dv6700 is a newer model. The wireless card in the in the dv6700 is a "Broadcom 4321AG 802.11a/b/g/draft-n Wi-Fi Adapter," and the on in the dv6040 is a "Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter."

My question is if I can swap these wireless cards. I want to see if the wireless card in the dv6040 has a problem, so if the dv6040 works fine with the new card and the dv6700 doesn't, I know this is the problem. Both of the connectors are the same (MiniPCI Express I believe), and I can find the drivers online at the HP site, but I thought I would just make sure that the laptop would let me use a new internal wireless adapter.

Thanks,
Neal

It should work. I believe that the driver is the same for both cards in question as well.

cheers ...
