Both notebooks are sexy as hell and I wish I could afford both of them however I can only buy one.

I'm looking to replace my Acer Aspire 5100 Notebook

Basically I want something that can handle today's games at decent settings. I'm not a hardcore gamer however I still want to be able to play the latest games.

I really like the design of the macbook pro 13'' however the Gateway is slightly more powerful.

I don't know people... Which one should I go for ?

I like Windows but I also like OSX !!!

lol

Please tell me your thoughts

Thanks

Spending gaming time more than others? Get the Gateway.

Or save up $$$$ and get both (what I did)

cheers ...

I would say the Gateway is more than just a little more powerful. That is like saying a .357 is a little more powerful than a .32? The Mac wins on mobility it loses on most others.

If gaming is the question the only answer is the Gateway.

I was just wondering what your laptop is used for, it seems to me that you have no clue what you will be doing and what you expected it to do. The two laptops you listed are on completely opposite of the spectrum. One of them is made for maximum portability while the other is made for performance. My idea is that you decide what area you will be focusing on with your laptop before making further choices

Whoa, I would definitely go for the Gateway. That laptop is extremely powerful compared to that macbook. Although I am leaning towards OSX as of lately, gaming on the other hand with the 9400M is about a 1/3 of what the 9800M can do OF course I'm talking about high resolution and AA/AF, but you get my point

If we are talking about gaming then i would recommend the gateway + you might not enjoy the game as much in the 13" screen

I'm in the same position as you, well, almost.
I can't decide between the 15" Macbbok Pro with the 9600gt and the gateway, I want osx, but gaming at a res of 1920x1200 is real fun, and full HD movies, oh yea.
