Hey I was checking on ebay, can you fit a go 6800 from an inspiron 9300 into the 9400? from what I read everywhere it's almost the same board minus new chipset. By looking at the card it looks like it fits but just want to make sure if someone did it (not to run into any BIOS issues and whatnot).

On ebay some people claim some parts are compatible with 9400, but since some mention it and some are not putting the 9400 in their list of compatible machines, it's a little confusing.

I want to be able to plug a video card in my 9400 without paying 300$, even if it's a shit x300@64mb. As long as I can use the external DVI port.

I tried fitting a x1400 from a 6400, but the board is badly designed, there are signal traces 3mm from the edge of the PCB (other than VCC and GND) in the inner layers, so I essentially killed the board when trimming it. I don't know if it would have even booted anyways (bios and so on)
