Basically, I'm looking for something I can use on my bed, and with general portability, to watch hd movies, browse the web, do hw etc.
So far, I've narrowed my search to the Dell XPS Studio 16, and the Sony Vaio Sony VGN-FW490, since both have the 16 inch 1920 x 1080 screens.
The dell I've configured is:
Intel P8600 2.4 Ghz, 3MB cache
16 inch 1920 x 1080 rgbled screen
4GB DDR3 RAM
500 GB 5400 RPM drive
ATi mobility Radeon 3670 512 MB
and I'll probably go with the 9-cell battery
That comes out to 1543
The sony has a
Intel P8700, 2.53 Ghz
16 inch 1920 x 1080 Xbrite-FullHD screen
4GB DDR2 RAM
500 GB 5400 RPM driver
ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD4570 1GB
and probably the large capacity battery
that comes down to $1419
both have blu-ray
specwise, the sony seems to be the slightly better system except for the DDR3 memory, and it's $100 bucks cheaper too. Any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks in advance
