Slow Performance in Games on HP Pavilion

Hey there,

I'm getting quite frustrated with this laptop. I've had it for a while but I recently wanted to start playing some games on it, but it seems that it doesn't want to run the games well.

When I set the computer to the high performance setting, I can start the game and the game will run fine for a short time. After several minutes though, the fps in the game will drop drastically. I'm pretty sure it's because my laptop is getting a big hot, but it really isn't getting that hot though. I have one of the cooling stations for it and it keeps the laptop relatively cool, but it's annoying that it starts running the games really slow the second it gets a bit warm.

Is there something that is slowing down my games on purpose, like a hidden vista thing? I've talked to other people with the similar laptop and they said that they never have any problems playing several games for hours.

So what is behind my laptop running my games like crap? Is it because it's getting a tad bit warm? Is it some vista program that slows down my computer the second it gets hot? Or am I just crazy and is this laptop not meant to play games?

The HP DV2 series is not meant for gaming, having an integrated graphic card. Not much you can do except for getting some less demanding games.

cheers ...
